36 candidates were officially nominated to the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation, and the final list of candidates, which consists of 8 people, became known on February 8, 2018.
- Sergey Baburin. A nominee from the party "Russian National Union" is its leader. 59 years old, has a law degree. In the political field, he opposed Yeltsin's policy and was in opposition. Repeatedly held the post of deputy of the State Duma.

At various times, he was director of the FSB of Russia, secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, chairman of the Council of Heads of State of the CIS, chairman of the United Russia party.
- Vladimir Zhirinovsky. Promoter from the Liberal Democratic Party. He is the founder and leader of this party. 71 years old, has a legal and philological education. Since 1993 he has been a deputy in the lower house of the Russian parliament. Presidential nomination for Russia will be his sixth.
- Grigory Yavlinsky. A nominee from the Yabloko party, of which he was a leader until 2008. 65 years old, has an economic education. He conducted active political activity in the 1990s. Until 2018, he had already twice nominated himself for the presidency.
- Maxim Suraykin. A nominee from the party "Communists of Russia", which he leads since 2012. 39 years old, has a degree in transport management engineer, candidate of historical sciences. While still a student, at the age of 18 he joined the Communist Party, an active activist of the youth communist movement.
- Boris Titov. Promoted to the Party of Growth.67 years old, graduated from the Faculty of International Economic Relations. Successful businessman and businesswoman. The position of the Presidential Commissioner for the Protection of the Rights of Entrepreneurs, which he holds, is directly related to his field of activity.
- Ksenia Sobchak. A nominee from the Civil Initiative party, which she joined in 2017. 36 years old, received education in international relations. Well-known journalist and TV presenter. Since 2011, he has openly opposed the current government.
