Instruction manual
1
First you need to pack the parcel. You can do this on your own (for example, stick paper on all sides) or buy packing material (an envelope or a small box) by mail. In the second case, there will be no problems with writing the addresses of the recipient and sender. Seal the envelope or box, write the address and send the item to the post office employee.
The operator will weigh the parcel and calculate the shipping price. It depends on the weight of the item and its nature. Cheaper is a simple parcel, more expensive is custom-made.
The registered nature of the shipment gives more guarantees that it will reach the addressee. However, it is believed that registered items go longer than simple ones.
2
Delivery of a simple parcel in Russia costs from 25.4 p. per 100 grams of weight, custom - 33.15. For each additional 20 grams, 1.25 p. When sending a parcel with declared value (in this case, when you post, you declare the cost of the contents of the parcel and are entitled to demand compensation from the mail if the item is lost), the cost of mail services is affected by the weight, distance and delivery method. The minimum distance for which you are charged is up to 600 km.
3
Delivery by air is more expensive, and the option of combined delivery is possible: partly by land transport, partly by plane. In this case, the cost is calculated in proportion to the distance to which the shipment was delivered by each method. An additional fee is also charged for each full ruble of declared value of the parcel.
If the parcel is sent by COD (the condition for its receipt becomes payment by the addressee of the cost of the contents of the parcel), the post office will take an additional fee for sending money.
4
After sending the parcel, you can track all the stages of its shipment using a special online service on the Russian Post website.
note
In addition to the cost of mail services, VAT may be charged. It is not added to the price if payment is made by postage stamps.
In practice, this most often looks like this: the operator sticks on the envelope or box the required number of stamps, and the sender pays for them.
