If you live in another city or country, but you need to send some things to Moscow, do this in the form of a parcel. In Moscow, there are several organizations involved in such delivery.
Instruction manual
1
Find out if you can send what you plan in the package. For example, perishable products, money, weapons, narcotic drugs, precious metals and stones, as well as animals and plants are not subject to shipment. With international mail, there are even more restrictions. Shipping of alcohol, tobacco, and aerosols is prohibited.
2
Use the services of state mail. Come to one of the post offices along with the item that you want to send, packed for shipment. Select a form for sending items. If you send magazines or books weighing no more than 2 kg, arrange them as a parcel. For larger items, send as a package. These two types of mail are different in cost - sending a parcel is cheaper. If you are sending expensive items, do this using a parcel of declared value. Also, if you wish, you can pay extra for the ability to track the package online, as well as for receiving a notification of its delivery.
3
Contact your private mail service providers. The offices of the main organizations for the delivery of small goods in the world are concentrated in Moscow. From Europe and the USA, parcels can be sent to Moscow using FedEx, and from Russian cities, for example, through Russian Express Mail. Such a parcel will be delivered to the addressee faster, but the cost of the services of such an operator will be higher than that of regular mail. For your money, you will get the opportunity, for example, not to come to the office of the postal operator in person, but to call the courier to work or to your home so that he picks up the parcel.
note
Parcels weighing no more than 20 kg can be sent by mail. To deliver larger items, you need to contact a freight company. There you can rent a place in a truck or even a railway container.
