Who should live well in Russia? If you often ask such questions and enviously read and watch TV shows about the sweet European life, perhaps the time has come for radical changes. In order to leave for permanent residence in Europe, it is not enough just to pack your bags and buy a one-way flight ticket. Months of preparation and collection of necessary documents are required.
Instruction manual
1
Immigration programs to Europe are enough, they all stem from the immigration laws of a particular country. In order to get a residence permit in Europe, you need to get the official purpose of your stay. In most cases, this is a long-term study or work, participation in business, marriage with an EU citizen or a foreigner-holder of permanent residence / residence permit, or refugee status.
2
After you have decided on the country and purpose of your stay, you need to thoroughly sit down to study the immigration laws of the respective country. For example, if you want to live in Prague and do business there, you need to sit down at Russian-speaking forums of immigrants from the former CIS, or hire a consultant who is competent in immigration to the Czech Republic.
3
Having learned all the necessary information about starting a business, choosing a university or employer, it's time to start collecting the necessary documents. Call the nearest consulate of the country of your choice and find out what documents are needed to apply for the first long-term visa for your purpose of stay. Having a list of documents on hand, you will know where to go next.
4
Having enlisted the help of experts, or having traveled to the country on a tourist visa yourself, organize everything you need on the spot. Pass entrance exams to the university, open a company, go through an interview with the employer, or marry. In some cases, your presence will not be required, for example, if the employer is very interested in you, as a specialist, and agrees to complete all the documents yourself.
5
Having collected all the necessary pieces of paper, go to the consulate to apply for a visa. After filing, you can only wait (in some cases more than 4 months) and hope for a better result. Having received a visa, you can safely start packing and plan your life in your new homeland.
6
Arriving in the country, you will need to live there for several years in order to, in the end, apply for the desired permanent residence. That's all, now you are almost a citizen of the European Union.
note
Before starting the immigration process, it is recommended that you first go to the country of your dreams on a tourist visa to make sure you like it there.
You must plan in advance how you will make money in the country where you are going to live.
The more money you have for the period of adaptation in a new country, the better. Unexpected expenses may occur.
Useful advice
First, decide which country you want to live in. Currently, only Bulgaria gives immediately gives permanent residence to those who own Bulgarian property. Unfortunately, Bulgaria will enter the Schengen zone only in 2012. In most European countries, in order to obtain permanent residence, you must first live for several years with the so-called residence permit or residence permit.
