Biography
The future musician was born in June 1959 on the twenty second day in the Russian city of Chelyabinsk. In the Soviet years, children were usually recorded in sports sections, but little Yuri did not have a special desire to play sports. But he possessed musical talent, easily mastered musical notation and played musical instruments with pleasure. From the age of eight he began to master the cello, and at twelve he began to play the guitar.
When Garin was educated, he began to write his first songs. At first, he sang them only in a narrow circle, to friends and relatives. But after graduating from school, he joined the McLen rock band, where he activated his repertoire. The young team was awarded the prestigious prize of the All-Union competition of rock performers.
Despite such success, Garin did not have much love for heavy music and once, visited the Ilmen bard festival, after which he left the group and made a sharp turn to the genre of the author's song with the guitar.
Professional career
To make music at a high level and get good money for it, Garin began in the early nineties. At that time, he lived in Belgian Brussels and wrote music for television shows and series. In the mid-nineties, he came to Russia on business and after this trip decided to return to his homeland completely.
In Russia, he created a recording studio with a wide range of services "Yurga-records". He also collaborated with Russian television channels, selling his work for news programs, entertainment shows and television series. In 2002, he collaborated with Leonid Filatov, wrote musical accompaniment for his works: “About Fedot the Sagittarius”, “Stagecoach” and “Lysistrata”.
In the early 2000s, he became the founder of two music festivals at once: "Our Songs" and "The Future". The purpose of both events is to popularize bard songs and promote young, talented performers. Among the pupils of Garin there are many talented famous performers of the modern stage.
