In domestic literature, there are many bright names. Among them is the talented writer Ivan Ivanovich Makarov. Due to circumstances that were not in his favor, the author’s work was forgotten for many years.

At baptism, Ivan Makarov was named John. He was born on October 30 in 1900 in Saltyki. The parents of the future writer were peasants, highly educated people at that time. They came from solid farms.
Years of study
The boy’s father was engaged in shoemaking. All his property was a sewing machine. The family lived in the house of his grandfather, to whom all the land was assigned. In total, the parents of the future writer grew six children. The oldest of all was Ivan.
The land could not feed the whole considerable family. Often, his father went to Moscow to earn money. As the best student of a rural school, Ivan was admitted to the Ryazhsky men's gymnasium. All her teachers had university diplomas.
The trustee of the institution was Privy Councilor Ermolov. Often, he took schoolgirls to his estate, where children examined well-groomed greenhouses with strange plants, a park, greenhouses and gardens.
In 1918, the gymnasium was combined with the female and renamed. The school had a choir, there were all the tools for organizing an orchestra or ensemble. Even the oboe and double bass found a place. Gymnasium students created a balalaika ensemble.
Children showed performances to local residents, held Sunday readings for fellow practitioners, accompanied by light pictures, showed a movie. The gym practiced sports weekends. In the spring, games were held there, in the summer - football competitions, boat rides. In the winter season, skiing and an ice rink were arranged.
The future writer perfectly mastered the exact sciences, but with the literature and native language, the restless guy started having problems. He graduated from Makarov in June 1919. The gymnasium gave excellent preparation for a future life. During the training, the country underwent global changes.
New life and literature
With the biography of the further work of the writer is inextricably linked. In his novel Black Shawl, the exact number of earthen plots belonging to Princess Trubetskoy, from whom his ancestors rented land, was even indicated. He also mentioned the number of inhabitants of his native village in the work "Steel Ribs".
With the advent of the new government, Makarov wills became part of the local leadership. The father of the future writer encouraged the land program. His views are section and son. In his work, the main characters were the land, the peasants, and the revolution, so abruptly overturning the usual way. The works show the events that took place in 1917.
The "Black Shawl" tells of quite controversial actions of peasants. Vera Valentinovna Vonlylyarskaya became the wife of a prose writer. The couple grew an adopted son in January. At seventeen, in 1941 he went to the front. Closer to the end of the war, January died at Koenigsberg.
Makarov's level of education aroused respect and even envy from his workmates. After the revolution, the young man fought in the Red Army, served as a scout in CHON.
In 1922 he was recalled from the post of county secretary of the Komsomol committee and sent as an instructor to the province.
Ivan Ivanovich needed to live in Ryazan, but often he traveled as a provincial representative to the counties. He entered the list of delegates to the All-Union Komsomol Congress. Makarov combined his work with literature.
With his active support in 1924, a small circle and a local branch of the poetic union were created in Ryazan.
Since 1926, Ivan Ivanovich went to work in the department of public education. He left Ryazan for a short period to travel around Siberia. Directorate at the local land management college was the final method of work of the writer in Ryazan.
