Julia Shoigu's career was swift. Of course, a high-ranking father played a role in this, but there are also merits of Yulia Sergeyevna herself in her professional growth, and indisputable ones are patience, determination, diligence, desire to grow and develop. It can not be reckoned with the so-called "golden youth." Even in her youth, Julia was more interested in textbooks on psychology, rather than entertainment and parties.
Childhood and youth of the daughter of Sergei Shoigu - Julia
Julia is the eldest daughter of the current Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Sergei Kuzhugetovich Shoigu. She was born in early May 1977, in the city of Krasnoyarsk, where her parents lived and studied at that moment. At the time of the birth of the eldest daughter, Sergei Kuzhugetovich graduated from the local Polytechnic Institute, was preparing to receive a diploma in civil engineering. Mom Julia Shoigu, Irina Alexandrovna, studied at the same university as Sergei, and also at the Faculty of Construction.
After Sergey and Irina graduated from the Krasnoyarsk Polytechnic, they were assigned to work in Kyzyl by distribution. A year later, the head of the family was promoted to the construction superintendent, which required a move to Achinsk.
As a child, Julia was forced to move a lot because of the profession of her parents. After Achinsk, the family first moved to Sayanogorsk, then to Abakan. The girl often changed educational institutions, but the transfer did not affect her academic performance in any way.
When Yulia was 13 years old (1990), the Shoigu family came to Moscow for permanent residence. She received a certificate of completion of secondary education in the capital.
Education and science in the life of Julia Shoigu
Julia Shoigu was fond of psychology since childhood, and it is natural that after school she chose the psychological faculty of Moscow State University. She graduated from the university in 1999, and immediately after receiving her diploma she came to work in the Center for Emergency Psychological Aid of the Ministry of Emergencies of the Russian Federation as an ordinary specialist. The ministry at that time was already headed by the girl’s father, but she did not take the opportunity to occupy a high post in the organization at the expense of Sergey Kuzhugetovich.
In parallel with the main professional activity, Julia was engaged in science in her specialized field. In 2003, she defended her thesis on the topic of recruiting EMERCOM units and cadets to specialized educational institutions, and became a candidate of science.
In addition to the dissertation, Julia Sergeyevna Shoigu released a textbook on psychology, more precisely - she became its co-author. The textbook is called "Psychology of extreme situations", reveals the behavior of certain psychotypes of people in situations extraordinary for their lives and dangerous conditions. Experts in the field of psychology note that the textbook is designed in detail, covers all possible behavioral forms of responding to danger and stress.
Professional activity of Yulia Sergeevna Shoigu
For two years, Yulia Shoigu worked as a simple psychologist in the Ministry of Emergencies, traveled to dangerous areas, contacted those who suffered a moral or material loss, and lost relatives and friends. Colleagues noted how purposeful and diligent she is, how strong and strong-willed she is. The girl herself is sure that she inherited these traits precisely from her father - Sergei Kuzhugetovich Shoigu.
As part of the group of psychological assistance from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Yulia Shoigu traveled to many objects where terrible technological incidents occurred:
- plane crash in the city of Irkutsk, where 203 people were killed,
- Sakhalin earthquake (in Nevelsk), which destroyed the whole city,
- Vidyaevo port, to which the Kursk liner, which sank in 2000, was attributed.
Often, EMERCOM psychologists had to work for days, without sleep and rest, as support for the victims and relatives of the victims should have been provided constantly. Yulia Sergeyevna Shoigu always worked on a par with her colleagues, not trying to use her father’s name and shirk her professional duties.
In 2001, Julia Shoigu was appointed deputy director of the Center for Psychology at the Ministry of Emergencies, and a year later she headed the service. For her activities, Julia Sergeyevna was awarded several awards, both state and departmental, which indicates her high professionalism.
