Parents Valery Petrovich - teachers. Capable since childhood
All the years of Valera’s studies, my mother strenuously dragged her son in her subject. And, although at that time she was still an inspector in RONO, the demand from the boy was great. But this was not a burden for a guy: it is impossible to know such a complex subject from under a stick; real mathematical abilities are needed. As a result, Valery Petrovich graduated from school in 1966, having received a medal for special successes in learning. With the same success, he entered the university. His choice fell on Leningrad State University named after A.A. Zhdanova, Faculty of Physics. Valery Petrovich easily took new heights: he graduated, got a job as a laboratory assistant at Syktyvkar State University, and when he defended his dissertation and became a candidate of physical and mathematical sciences, he began to grow professionally: first an assistant, then a senior teacher, then an assistant professor, in the end, he reached the head of the department of experimental physics.
From his youth, Markov showed organizational abilities. A striking example was his initiative to create a physical and mathematical boarding school in the republic. He also became a member of his governing council. Valery Petrovich himself is sure that it was no coincidence that he became a deputy, as he must take part in public life, and not look from the side. Therefore, in his work, he always understood: ongoing reforms should in no case worsen the situation of people. Moreover, they should concern those problems which really disturb the people. Therefore, in his native republic, he regularly talked with residents of various settlements - from large cities to "bear corners", and learned their real needs. He never made empty promises, but he himself turned to entrepreneurs and authorities at various levels for help. So his deputy in the State Duma and the Federation Council is another serious way to improve the quality of life of ordinary people of Komi. So, for example, Valery Petrovich’s contribution to the fact that he contributed to the completion of the construction of the school in the village of Chernutevo. Long-term construction could not end long, the number of children in the village was decreasing, but still the school appeared, and the school, as you know, the center of life of the village, and now it has a future. The deputy helped the long-standing desire of the villagers to perpetuate the memory of soldiers who fell in the Great Patriotic War. By the 65th anniversary of the great Victory, stone monuments appeared in three villages at once. By the way, he could communicate with the Komi people in the local language. Valery Petrovich knows and loves him well. After all, language is the basis of national values, it must be especially protected, which the deputy also did.
Ordinary people, who happened to personally recognize Valery Petrovich, unequivocally note his strong, strong-willed character and firmness of spirit: constant business trips, work until late, rare hours with his family, but he is still indefatigable and full of enthusiasm. His professional and moral human qualities are also highly appreciated. It is not surprising that Markov achieved a lot. He has been awarded a number of awards.
