Carier start
1979 is a reference point in the career of Tom Pritchard. Los Angeles: Tom works in a team to promote Gene and Mike Lebbel, and holds several championships there. He also takes an active part in organizing North American team games with Chris Adams. Lebbel finished his work in 1982, and meanwhile Pritchard began to compete in the NWA for four years. Soon he settles in the southeast, where he expects great success in his career.
One of the significant championships for Thomas was the Continental Wrestling Championship of the Continental Wrestling Federation of 1986-1989. In 1988, he began a feud with the "Dirty White Boy" (Tony Anthony). On April 23 of that year, Anthony's valet was injured in the eye, he turned black, asked Pritchard for help, but in the end Anthony attacked Tom from behind, wrung his hands behind his back and hit him. This was not the end of their “communication”: on October 3, 1988 in Birmingham, Alabama, Tom defeated Anthony in the tournament finals and won the CWF championship in the super heavyweight category.
April 7, 1989 in Knoxville, Tennessee, Pritchard loses the Wendell Cooley title. But soon, June 23, 1989, returns it. Further, on July 22 of that year, in Dothan, Alabama, loses the title of Dennis Condry. But Condry wins on December 6th and brings him back. And he even manages to keep the title until the CWF closes the same month.
Joining US Fight Association
For two years, from 1990 to 1992, the famous Tom Pritchard is a member of the Fight Association. In the beginning, he worked in the Texas branch, where he formed a team, which included Eric Embry and Steve Austin. Their trainer was Tojo Yamamoto. The team was in a confrontation with Jeff Jarrett, Bill Dundee, Robert Fuller.
Meanwhile, Pritchard wins the USWA South Heavyweight Championships in Texas. Later, Texas completely closed its territory for such fights, in November 1990. Soon, Thomas competes at the Memphis USWA with Smokey Mountain in 1992.
1992-1995
Stan Lane and Pritchard create a team and call it "Heavenly Bodies", join Smoky Mountain Wrestling. On April 23, 1992, in Harrogate, Tennessee, they defeated The Fantastics and became the first SMW champions. On August 8, 1992, a barbed wire cage competition took place in Johnson City, Tennessee. But they were defeated by The Fantastics. Although after only two days, “Heavenly Bodies” regained their title and were able to hold it for three months. Losing the Rock'N Roll Express team on November 13, 1992 in Harlan, Kentucky, stripped them of this title. Lane leaves the ring after the team three times participated in battles with Rock 'N Roll Express. Pritchard and Jimmy Del Ray compete at SMW and World Federation to claim WWF World Champion Steiner Brothers at the 1993 Summer Slam.
Pritchard and Del Rey, on November 24, 1993 in Boston, defeated the Rock 'N Roll Express, who regained their title on February 18, 1994 in Port Huron, Michigan. But literally the next day they lose it in Taylor.
April 1, 1994 in Pikeville, Kentucky, in the "Duel with the Loser Leaves SMW", Rock 'N Roll Express again won the "Heavenly bodies." At intervals, Thomas enters the ring alone against Bret Hart and Sean Michaels. On August 4, 1995, in Knoxville, Tennessee, Pritchard defeats the Dirty White Boy in the Super Bowl and receives the eighth title.
One night, bandits attack Thomas and damage his leg, as a result Pritchard has to wear a special boot, which he uses as a weapon against Del Ray. After 1995, the wrestler returned to WWF.
