A rich vocabulary allows you to express your thoughts clearly and easily. But some cannot brag about it and are forced to state their thoughts with a limited set of words. To correct the situation, you need to make an effort and spend a little time.

Determine the direction in which you are going to expand your knowledge. Do not grab at once for everything so that the porridge from new words does not form in your head.

Read more magazines, sites and books. Give preference to classical works, which contain many interesting sayings and phrases. Clarify the meaning of obscure words - understand how they can be used in a conversation.

Retell read texts or articles in your own words. To get started, practice alone, recording the repetition on the recorder. Listen to your retelling and compare with what you read; mark the words that you did not remember, and learn them.

Chat with different people to learn words from new areas. Use phrases you’ve recently learned in conversation. Practice will help enrich your speech faster. If the circle of acquaintances is limited, read the thematic forums. This will allow you to understand conversations from different walks of life and not feel silly.

Make it a rule to learn one new word per day. Find its meaning in the dictionary, try to use it in a sentence. Write the word several times on a piece of paper - it will be easier to remember.

Find synonyms for the words you use most often. Learn them and try to use them in a conversation. This diversifies the vocabulary, and you will not be constantly repeating.

Write out interesting phrases and words that you find in texts. Read quotes from famous philosophers, proverbs, sayings and idioms. Learn some of them to use when communicating.

Talk more with others on different topics. Training will help to quickly consolidate the knowledge gained, and it will be nice to show off a rich vocabulary.
