A native of Kazan and a native of the family of a serviceman - Elena Shanina - since 2012, has been teaching in the legendary GITIS. Among the numerous awards and prizes of the People's Artist of the Russian Federation (1997) there is the Order of Friendship (2002). Biography and career of Elena Yurievna Shanina
On December 24, 1952, the future People's Artist of Russia was born. From childhood, the girl showed unusual artistic abilities, systematically attending a drama circle at school and delighting her family with her improvisations. Moreover, due to the constant absence of parents at work, the care of the younger brother fell on the girl’s shoulders, the age difference with which was five years.
After receiving a certificate of secondary education, Elena went to the city on the Neva, where her grandmother lived. Here she easily entered the legendary LGITMiK (course of I.P. Vladimirova). In 1974, Shanina graduated from a theater college and entered the service in the capital's Lenkom to Mark Zakharov, who after watching said: "The artist is nervous, I think, good." With this parting word from the master to adulthood, the talented actress began to actively develop her professional activity. The stage of Lenkom is still the second home for the People’s Artist of the Russian Federation.
Fragile tenderness and touching good nature are distinguished by all the characters of Elena Yuryevna, and therefore it was in this role that she was able to win the hearts of millions of domestic fans. Theaters most remembered for her characters in Two Women, Tartuffe and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.
Elena Shanina’s cinematic debut took place in 1975, when she appeared on the set for the first time on the set of the feature film directed by Ekaterina Stashevskaya “Concert for Two Violins”. A year later, small roles followed in the paintings "Twelve Chairs" and "Ata-bata, soldiers were walking
