Biography
Sasha Verni was born on August 10, 1919 in Bois-le-Roi in France. He died in Paris on May 15, 2001. The operator was 81 years old. His family is Jewish immigrants who fled from Russia. Verni was educated at the Paris Film School. He made documentaries in Africa. He has accounted for more than 70 full-length and television films. He collaborated with Alain Rene and Peter John Greenaway. In 1938, Sasha married model and art critic Dina Aibinder. After 2 years, they dispersed during the German occupation. Verney was twice nominated for a Cesar. He is a three-time winner of the Catalan IFF Prize in Sitges.

In 1956, Sasha worked on the short film Night and Fog. A year later, his work "The Secret of the Fifteenth Workshop" was published. Directed by Andre Heinrich, Alain Rene.
