Novosibirsk is a large Russian metropolis. It is known in the country as a significant scientific center, a large transport hub that provides communication between Siberia and other regions of Russia, as well as an industrial city. However, in addition to this, the city is also famous for its contribution to the culture of Russia.

The theater life of Novosibirsk today is rich and varied: more than 30 large and small theaters are constantly functioning in the city. In addition, theater groups from neighboring regions, Moscow, St. Petersburg and foreign countries quite often appear on the theater stages of Novosibirsk.
Theaters of Novosibirsk
The theaters of Novosibirsk, operating today, are able to satisfy the most demanding taste, since among them there are institutions of a very different format. So, for example, there are drama theaters in the city that have a long history of existence, numbering more than one decade. Among such institutions can be called theaters "Old House", "Red Torch" and others. In addition, the young, but very successful theater team led by the famous director Sergei Afanasyev won the well-deserved love of the townspeople.
Another group of theatrical organizations in Novosibirsk is composed of young, often experimental, creative groups that attract an audience as spectators, ready for innovation and open to all sorts of new trends in the theatrical environment. Among them are the Bullet Theater Club, Clockwork Orange Theater, Attic Theater and other creative teams.
The third, quite extensive category of Novosibirsk theaters is institutions focused primarily on the children's audience. Here, the Novosibirsk Regional Puppet Theater takes its rightful place among the oldest institutions, but younger organizations, such as the new Poteshki puppet theater, MaskaRad, Lukomorye, and others, also have their fans.
