The famous twentieth-century ballerina Olga Leonidovna Zabotkina is a descendant of two noble births: one of her great-grandfathers is Olenev, real state adviser, and the second was vice-governor of Arkhangelsk. No wonder Olga was such a beauty.

Biography
The future ballerina was born in 1936 in Leningrad. When she was five years old, a terrible war began, the city was in blockade. And the little girl dreamed of dancing, wanted to become a ballerina.
During the war, Olga's father died, they were left alone with mom. Nevertheless, the dream was calling, and the girl entered the choreographic school. And immediately after graduation she came to work at the Leningrad Theater. Kirov (the current "Mariinsky").
Zabotkina gave this theater almost a quarter century of her life. She danced classics, modern productions and performances with folk motifs - all styles and genres were subject to this ballerina.
Movie career
In those years in the Soviet Union it was customary to “carry culture to the masses, to popularize art”, and therefore many films were shot in the genre of “film ballet.” Olga Leonidovna participated in such tapes.
However, the very first film in which she took part was feature: it is a film based on Kaverin’s novel “Two Captains”. Zabotkina played the role of Katya Tatarinova, the daughter of a brave polar explorer who died due to the betrayal of her brother.
The film was a tremendous success: the boys went to the cinema five times to again see how truth and justice triumph.
Olga's work in this film was rated very highly. Perhaps because she was very similar to her heroine in origin and in life history - Katya's experiences were very close to her.
A little later, Olga starred in the film play "Don Cesar de Bazan". The picture was shown on TV, and therefore the name of the ballerina was well known. She played the role of Maritana, a street dancer. Because of her unearthly beauty, the king himself fell in love with her and wanted to make her his favorite. The girl was saved by the true love of a young man.

The partners of the young actress on the site were celebrities: Vladimir Chestnokov and Nikolai Boyarsky. And they recognized that Olga looked very organically in this film.
After that, Zabotkina starred in many more films, danced a lot in the theater. Her work received a well-deserved award: she received the title of Honored Artist of the RSFSR when she was only twenty-four years old.
In 1964, Zabotkina starred in the film-ballet Sleeping Beauty, where she played the role of the evil queen, and this role also turned out great for her.
