Biography
Revaz (Rezo) Levanovich Gabriadze was born in the Georgian city of Kutaisi on June 29, 1936, and all his childhood fell on the hungry post-war years. This did not prevent adults from paying attention to him: the boy fell asleep under the prayer of his grandmother and listened to the sound of the sea, during the day he was saturated with red-hot sun rays coming down from the mountains.
Parents were primarily concerned about the health of their son, not grades at school - he grew up strong and happy. The relationship between Rezo's father and mother was serene: the father's voice was always calm and calm, often the son and mother read Georgian classics in verse. Parents tenderly cared for their child. From bright early childhood memories, Revaz Gabriadze recalls a snowy sunny day and his nickel-plated bicycle bell.
Neighboring actors looked after Rezo, when his mother was ill, he visited with them in the theater. In the future, this affected his fate, and at that moment the campaigns quickly stopped - the mischievous child laughed out loud during the most tragic scenes. This behavior almost provoked the breakdown of several performances.
After graduation, Revaz worked as a concrete worker, entered various universities, even metallurgical. In 1964, he received a diploma from the Faculty of Journalism of Tbilisi State University. He did not stop there and already in 1967 went to Moscow for the Higher Script Courses.

The subtlest irony and humor, fantasy and poetry of Revaz, which are clearly visible in the subsequent more than 30 Rezo scripts, were reflected here.
Gabriadze’s creative union with Danelia brought amazing cinema to the cinema. Wisdom, sensitivity in understanding their fellow countrymen, philosophical consciousness helped in 1978 to create "Mimino". The film is about a dream and spiritual connection with the Fatherland. And in 1986, the hooligan phantasmagoria "Kin-dza-dza!" Appeared on the screens, where they speak the wonderful language of Plucan.
