English postal standards are somewhat different from those that we are used to seeing in Russian mail. Correct filling of the mail envelope will accelerate the delivery of the letter from Russia to the UK.

Instruction manual
1
It is best to use a white envelope without images and drawn margins. Ask for an envelope for international mail at your post office.
2
On the front side of the envelope in the center in large letters write "United Kingdom", and then the recipient's address in English. In England, as in the rest of Europe, the recording procedure is opposite to the Russian one - that is, you must first indicate the name and surname of the recipient of the letter. Then write the number of the apartment, building, home, street name, city and country, and at the end - the index. If the letter is sent to the organization and you do not know the contact person, write the official name of the company instead of the name.
3
On the back of the letter or on the front side in the corner write your address. If you specify an address in the corner, select the upper left or lower right, as the postal worker will paste stamps on the upper right corner. Filling in the sender address is exactly the opposite. Write at the top of Russia, and then your address and name in Russian format in Russian or in Latin letters. It is customary to write the return address in the format: country, region or region, city or town, street, house, building, apartment. And only after specifying the address you need to register the last name and first name.
4
Pass the envelope with the attachment to the post office and ask them to stick stamps on the envelope to send a letter to England. Sending a letter is paid - in addition to paying for the envelope and stamps, you will need to pay the weight of the letter.

Index Information:
London zip code consists of several parts. The letters indicate parts of the world - only 8 directions, but two of them are not used. Now the directions are used W (West), E (East), N (North), SW (South-West) and so on, according to the first letter of the cardinal point. After the letters are numbers - they indicate the postal area. After writing it, a space follows, and then another number and two letters - the postal section.
