Childhood, adolescence
Kormukhina was born in Gorky (Nizhny Novgorod). Her father worked as an engineer, her mother ran a museum. Father was able to sing, Olga's brother played the piano, then he became a composer. In the family, the girl tried to instill an interest in classical music, but she liked a different style.
Mother insisted that Olga become an architect, and in 1977 Kormukhina began her studies at the Institute. Chkalova. But then she left there and decided to become a singer.
Creative career
In 1980, Olga participated in a festival dedicated to jazz, and won the first prize. After the victory, the singer received many invitations from various groups. But she did not accept a single one, but began to sing in a local restaurant. For 3 years Kormukhina earned quite a lot and gained stage experience. Olga became famous in the city.
In the 80s, they learned about the Nizhny Novgorod singer in the capital. Composer Oleg Lundstrem was looking for a soloist, he came to listen to Kormukhin. Then he offered the girl a job in his group. Olga agreed, but soon transferred to the team of Anatoly Kroll.
In 1983, Kormukhina began her studies at the Gnessin School. After 3 years, she won a prize at the festival in Jurmala. There Olga met with Margarita Pushkina, together they recorded several songs.
In 1987-1989 Kormukhina performed with the groups “Red Panther”, “Black Coffee”, “Rock Atelier”, and in 1989 she began to sing solo. In 1991-1992 Olga had a lot of tours, she participated in various events. In 1993, Kormukhina fell ill, she began to depression. The singer went into religion and went to live on the island of Zalita.
In 2000, Kormukhina continued her creative career, in 2001-2005. She created compositions for the projects "Mirror Wars", "Red Serpent". In 2006, Kormukhina sang in the concert "Star Factory". Later, she got a role in the movie "I Fall in the Sky."
In 2007, Olga decided to get a specialty as a director and began her studies at VGIK. In 2008, her film “And Shines and Warms” was released, later Kormukhina shot 2 more paintings: “Bell”, “Man and Woman”. In 2012, the album "Falling into the Sky" appeared. In 2015, the star presented to the public a concert "Territory of Love".
