Nick Offerman is an American film and theater actor, director, producer, screenwriter and writer. Most famous for his role in the project "Parks and Recreation", for which he was awarded the Association of Television Critics Award. Nick's creative biography began in the late 90s after graduating from the University of Illinois. Immediately after receiving his diploma, Nick and his friends organized his own experimental theater, calling it "Defiant Theater".
He not only engaged in the production of plays and played on stage, but also independently made sets. The young man learned carpentry and carpentry in early childhood, living on a farm with his grandfather.
The skills that he had learned from his work were useful to him in the future. Theatrical performances did not bring any income, because Nick worked for a long time in a small carpentry workshop and taught choreography in a theater studio.

The boy was born in a small American town in the summer of 1970. His father taught at school, and his mother worked as a nurse in a local hospital, was engaged in housekeeping and raising children, of whom there were four in the family.
The boy spent all his childhood on a farm with his grandfather. It was he who taught Nick all the tricks of working on earth, the ability to do woodworking and caring for animals. Nick later said more than once that his grandfather played a very important role in his life, having learned to cope with any difficulties, not to lose heart and relate to life with a smile.
In school, Nick became interested in music, learned to play the saxophone. And in high school he began to attend a theater studio. After leaving school, the young man entered the university, where he studied acting and drama.
Offerman graduated with a bachelor’s diploma and immediately moved to Chicago, where he and his friends opened his own “Daring Theater”.
Film career
Nick began acting in films in 1996. He was given a very small role in the action movie Chain Reaction, but during the installation, the scenes with Nick were completely cut out. Despite this, Offerman received his first small fee and joined the Screen Actors Guild.
A year later, Nick got a cameo role in the famous series "Ambulance" and in the film "Travel Companions". Mark Pellington - director of the film "Fellow travelers" - praised the work of the young actor and recommended that he move to Los Angeles to continue his acting career in Hollywood.
Arriving in Los Angeles, Nick for a long time could not get a single role. He again had to earn extra money in the workshop as a carpenter. Only a year later, Offerman starred in an episode of the film "City of Angels."
In the early 2000s, Nick began to appear on the screen in many famous TV shows: “The Queens King, ” “The West Wing, ” “Gilmore Girls, ” “24 Hours, ” “Deadwood, ” “Wayne Days, ” “CSI: Crime Scene New York."
Nick became famous in 2009 when he got a role in the project "Parks and Recreation Areas", where he played one of the main characters - director Ron Swanson.
