Nora was born in the USA in the spring of 1979. Her father is the famous musician Ravi Shankar, who from childhood instilled in his daughter a love of art.
After her parents divorced in 1986, Jones moved with her mother from New York to the city of Grapewan, Texas. Here she began to study at Colleyville Middle School, and then enrolled in Grapevine High School.
Nora was carried away by music and creativity early. In school, she began to sing in a church choir, learned to play the piano and saxophone, took vocal lessons, and attended the Interlochen Center for the Arts.
