Born in 1951 in Altai. Childhood years passed in the small village of Raspberry Lake in a family far from the art world.
Nina graduated from high school in the city of Kurgan, where a few years later the whole family moved. Here for the first time in an amateur circle, she joined the theatrical skills. The magic of the stage took possession of it forever.
The long and difficult path to fame. The future People’s Artist failed examinations at the theater school several times. She worked at the factory, in the House of Culture and continued to prepare for admission. The dream of "Pike" came true on the fifth attempt. Nina stopped at the faculty of directing.
Theater
Usatov's theatrical career began on the stage of the distant northern city of Kotlas. Her repertoire included twelve performances.
A year later, the girl went to Leningrad as soon as she found out about the opening of a new Youth Theater. The northern capital welcomed her warmly; she was accepted into the troupe. The aspiring actress quickly found her audience.
Nine years later, the heroine joined the cast of the Tovstonogov Drama Theater. The audience applauded her brilliant game in the productions of famous directors: Temur Chkheidze, Dmitry Astrakhan and Andrei Maximov.
Cinema
In 1981, viewers recognized Usatova, a movie actress. Debut role in the film "Where did Fomenko disappear?" laid the foundation for a cinematic biography. At first, she was offered shooting in episodes, then almost two dozen big movie roles followed.
The role of the mute in the drama Cold Summer of the Fifty-Three brought particular popularity. Director Alexander Proshkin assembled a truly stellar cast. At the box office, tens of millions of viewers got acquainted with the picture.
Nina Usatova grew up in the outback, in a simple family, so the image of the provincial, in which she often appeared on the screen, was close to her and understood.
The actress continued to act in the 90s. They saw the light of the picture: Chicha, Caucasian Roulette, Window to Paris, Farewell Tours.
On the set of Usatova, stars of the first magnitude met: Oleg Yankovsky, Alexander Abdulov, Semyon Farada, Lyudmila Gurchenko, Olga Ostroumova.
In Vladimir Khotinenko’s film “The Muslim”, the actress played the mother of a soldier who returned home from captivity seven years later. Her heroines in the Barak and Pop tapes are especially deep.
In the 2000s, television series received a high audience rating, where the artist performed the main roles: "Next", "Poor Nastya", "The Death of the Empire."
The actress’s contribution to Soviet and Russian cinema was highly appreciated by film critics: two “Nicks”, the Golden Eagle award, and the prizes of the Kinotavr festival.
