Natalia Zakharchenko is the widow of the leader of the Donetsk People’s Republic, Alexander Zakharchenko. Thanks to people like her husband, the DPR gains its independent life through a massive protest movement. She remained a widow, but she boldly continues the work of her dead husband.

Biography
Natalia Zakharchenko was born in the city of Donetsk, where the happy years of her childhood and youth passed. Natasha’s family was very simple. My father earned his living as a driver, and my mother was engaged in housework. In addition to Natalya, another daughter grew up in the family - Irina, she was the eldest child. Family life flowed in the usual way on the cozy Batumskaya Street in Donetsk.
Study and work
Natasha received secondary general education in a regular school No. 31. The teaching of subjects during her school years was in Ukrainian. Since childhood, Natalya was very calm and balanced, she could be considered quiet, but in case of conflict situations the girl showed persistence of character and firmly defended her innocence. She did not seek to be a leader in the classroom and school company, she was self-sufficient.
Parents gave little Natalya to study music in a specialized school, where she acquired the skills of playing the accordion. After the girl graduated from the ninth grade of a comprehensive school, the family decided to continue their sisters in college.
Until fierce hostilities began in Donetsk, the matured girl was engaged in individual entrepreneurship. She held a grocery tent near the bus stop. The stall worked around the clock. Natalya formalized her business by registering all the necessary documents giving the right to trade in food products.
