Starting conditions
According to some observations, people who were fortunate enough to be born in the provinces have powerful energy potential. Very often, in competition with the capital's natives, they are the winners. Although stories are known and other precedents. Marina Anatolievna Shishkina was born on April 14, 1960 in a family of Soviet employees. Parents lived in the small town of Chudovo in the Novgorod region. My father worked as a director of a garment factory, and my mother taught Russian language and literature at school.
In a small village you can’t hide from people. No matter how a person hides his talents or shortcomings, they all the same “floated out”. Marina grew up a sociable and developed girl. I learned to read early. She loved to collect her girlfriends on a bench and leaf through the books that they had in their house. At school, the future journalist studied only "excellently." If you got a four, then sincerely upset. Her favorite subjects were literature and geography. Although in mathematics she "thought" perfectly.
Shishkina took an active part in public life. She always led the pioneer all-around class team. And in high school in volleyball and athletics. Like all classmates joined the Komsomol and was proud of it. In high school, Marina served as editor of the school wall newspaper. In the same period, small notes about events and events that took place at the school began to appear on the pages of the city newspaper. The girl was repeatedly encouraged for this, and even awarded the honorary diploma of the publisher.
Having received a certificate of maturity and a gold medal, Shishkina already knew her route through life. In those years, medalists had privileges for admission to higher and secondary specialized educational institutions. Using the opportunities provided by law, Marina entered the journalism department of Leningrad University. In her student years, she remained as active and easy to climb. She was engaged in tourism. Visited famous theaters and other cultural institutions. During the student years, the city on the Neva became native to Marina.

Journalistic activities
In 1982, Shishkina received a diploma of higher education and went to work on distribution. The place of application of forces and talents was a city in the Leningrad region called Tosno. The local newspaper was called the Lenin Banner. Marina successfully "joined" the creative team and plunged into the daily editorial bustle. Performing editorial tasks, she visited industrial and transport enterprises. Articles, notes and essays almost always aroused the interest of readers. The editorial staff of the letters department was respected and even loved. But, having worked for three years, Shishkina returned to Leningrad.
An experienced journalist was accepted as an assistant to the department of radio and television at her native university. Having collected the necessary amount of information, Shishkina entered graduate school. And in 1991 she defended her thesis for the title of candidate of sociological sciences on the topic "Broadcasting in the system of the economic flow of information." Four years later, she was elected dean of the journal faculty. Shishkina was the second woman in the history of the university, who took the post of dean. On her initiative, a department of public relations and advertising was opened at LSU.

With a heavy workload of administrative affairs, Shishkina did not leave scientific studies. More than a hundred articles and books on the issues of advertising appeals, public relations and broadcasting have been released from her pen. Creativity on a scientific field was confirmed in a doctoral dissertation, which she defended in 2002. Teaching career at Marina Anatolyevna developed well. However, the circumstances were such that she was invited to participate in the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg.
In the fall of 2011, Marina Shishkina became a deputy of the Legislative Assembly on the lists of the Just Russia party. She was immediately included in the composition of the deputy commission on education, culture and science. This field of activity was well known to Shishkina, and she made a feasible contribution to the legislative process.
