Parents at that time lived in the ancient city of Kiev. My father worked as a director of a household appliance factory. Mother worked in a garment factory. Lyuba was raised and raised by her grandmother from her father. The future singer for a long time considered her grandmother to be her mother. Father and grandmother were categorically against the girl moving alone to the North Caucasus. But the seventeen-year-old singer insisted. Three years later, she moved to Yerevan and sang in the famous Sadko restaurant.
In 1978, Uspenskaya, under pressure from censorship and party functionaries, decided to go abroad. By that time, she already had familiar musicians who moved to a permanent place of residence in the United States. When Lyuba left the ladder, her friends were already waiting for her. She quickly gained fame with the local public. She performed with Mikhail Shufutinsky, Willy Tokarev, Slava Medyanik. For more than eighteen years, Love spent on hospitable American land.
