Conscripts often wonder where they will be taken to serve in the army. The conditions of service, relations with relatives and other important aspects may depend on the location of the unit. You can find out about this even before you leave for the location of the military unit.

Instruction manual
1
Study carefully all the documentation that you will be offered to fill out at the military commissariat. Often, a questionnaire is included in it, in which there is a question about where the draftee would like to serve. In this case, you can independently decide where to go to the service. Some agencies also notify conscripts in advance of their future duty station. Please note that the final decision may still be different.
2
Interview acquaintances who have already served in the army from the commissariat at your place of residence. Usually in this case, conscripts are sent to the same military units. Take this opportunity to find out about the conditions of service and ask which place is best for you.
3
Check out the list of military units available in the country. Pay attention to those that are related to the type of troops in which you were assigned, for example, airborne, infantry, navy, etc. An equally important feature is the presence of “hot spots” at the moment in which hostilities are being conducted. If any, you may well be sent to the parts closest to them.
4
Write in advance an application to the military commissariat on your behalf or on behalf of the parents and immediate family. Ask the command to send you to a specific military unit. There must be a good reason for this, for example, for health reasons, a conscript must serve in an area with a certain climate and other conditions. Be sure to attach the statement of the doctors to the application.
5
Often the place of service of a draftee is not disclosed until the last moment. Recruits already learn about it directly on the way to their destination. However, if you know the person who will accompany you to the place, ask your place of future service in advance. Also interview those who are picked up on the same day as you — they can know the information through their sources.
