ECCO brand shoes, famous all over the world for their convenience and environmental friendliness, were decades ago nothing more than a small-town notion.
Back in 1963, Karl Tusby, the manager of one of the small shoe factories in Copenhagen, who founded one of the small shoe factories at that time, founded his own business by buying up an empty factory in southern Denmark. The conditions for starting a new business were favorable, there were enough manpower in the city, and local authorities were interested in the prospect of expanding the local economy, and especially in obtaining new investments.
This is how ECCO came into existence, which has existed to this day for over 50 years. It exceeded all expectations, the Bredebro factory is now one of the largest and has a huge number of workers, and the name of the founder of one of the world's largest shoe companies will remain in history.
But in order to maintain competitiveness, it was necessary to expand the business, for this reason branches of the company were opened in other countries, the first was a factory for the production of upper shoes in Brazil, and later a company for the production of high-tech materials was opened in Denmark, also under the supervision of ECCO.
In 1981, ECCO begins its active expansion in Europe and storms the market, a subsidiary in Germany opens, and a year later the company receives a license to manufacture shoes in Japan, but the specialists are the same from the Danish company.
So until the 90s, ECCO expanded its production throughout Europe, and in 1990 their own representative office was opened in the United States. ECCO is the official supplier of the royal court of Denmark.
In Russia, the shoes of this company first hit in 1993, immediately introducing a whole line of different models, both adult and children's shoes.
Thus, ECCO, after so much time after its appearance and recognition, has its branches and factories almost all over the world, some of them specialize in the production of individual materials that are supplied to other countries and from which finished products are made. The number of stores in Russia is expanding every year; new branches are also appearing in neighboring countries.
