"This world is not so simple at all." Series Features
This sitcom primarily focuses on a teenage audience. In the center of the plot is a family of wizards. Accordingly, the series reflects the relationship between both parents and children, and between the children themselves. The conflict of fathers and children is captured in the relationship between Alex and Jerry, as well as Theresa and her desire to patronize and help children. The conflict between the older and younger children arises in Alex and Justin, and in part in Max: Justin tries to be a leader, as if taking the place of Jerry, while Alex refuses to obey him, as he considers himself completely independent.
The series is characterized by the rivalry of family values and selfishness.
Often, characters face a choice between their interests and family. In the last episode of the series, the conflict of these values reaches its peak. Fortunately, family values win.
The magic of the plot is a separate issue. This is a kind of metaphor associated with the period of growing up, when you want to have everything and immediately, when a teenager is in the grip of an uncontrollable whirlwind of emotions that you need to be able to cope with. Magic is a big responsibility, characters assimilate it to a different degree, however they grow, their problems change, their attitude changes. The series teaches the viewer responsibility, the fact that people should think about the consequences, and the fact that there really are no easy ways.
The sitcom also shows other problems of adolescents: school, friends, romantic relationships. Through humor, these problems cease to be such and are ultimately overcome.
