Instruction manual
1
The lowest level in the hierarchy of military ranks is ordinary. As soon as a person becomes a military man, he is immediately assigned this title. The armed forces of any country have the most. Private - a soldier, infantryman, shooter, driver, driver. Also, the gun crew number, reconnaissance, sapper, radio operator and much more.
The corporal follows. Such a title is given either for distinction in study, in combat, special training, or in connection with the position held. Corporal officers are senior drivers, gunners of armored personnel carriers, clerks at headquarters and other military personnel. In some military units, they can command entire units. The most famous corporal was Hitler.
2
The rank of Junior Sergeant follows. You can get this title only after graduating from a special educational school. Junior sergeants command detachments, but may even become deputy platoon commanders. The next step is the rank of sergeant. This is a full-fledged commander of the squad, crew, tank, gun or crew. It is the sergeants who lead the system, conduct classes, supervise the work.
Staff Sergeant. This rank is usually assigned to the deputy platoon commander. This is the most important position in the soldier’s environment. And the rank of foreman completes the hierarchical ladder of the junior commanding staff. However, the title and position should not be confused. The foreman can also be an ensign.
3
Warrant Officer and Senior Warrant Officer. This is the platoon commander. He may be the foreman of the company, and the head of the warehouse, and the head of the radio station. That is, to hold a position where high qualifications and higher education are not required, but leadership over the soldiers is required. You can become an ensign only after special training.
A person becomes a junior lieutenant automatically after graduating from the military department of a civil university. In his submission is a platoon - that is, about thirty people. By the way, the rank of junior lieutenant can be obtained by the ensign, if he also acquires higher education. Usually officers serve in this rank for only one year, after which they become lieutenants.
4
The rank of lieutenant is in many armies of the world. It is assigned to those military personnel who have graduated from a higher military educational institution. The lieutenant also commands a platoon, but sometimes they may be allowed to command a company. So, for example, it was during the Great Patriotic War.
The rank of senior lieutenant is assigned to those officers who are deputy company commanders, deputy commanders for working with personnel, and deputy commanders for technology and combat. Senior lieutenants can also become company commanders. Their duties include many powers.
5
The next rank is the captain. They command companies, can be deputy battalion commanders and hold other posts. This title is also found in many armies of the world, but should not be confused with the naval rank. Next is the major. This is the first rank of senior officers. A major is a chief of service, battalion headquarters, commandant of a military commandant’s office, and much more.
Lieutenant colonel. Such a title is not everywhere. Usually, these are deputy regiment commanders, regiment chief of staff or battalion commanders. The next step is the colonel. Such a title is in almost all armies of the world. Typically, these are unit commanders, chiefs of staff of a regiment; they can also be found at division headquarters or in district headquarters.
6
Major General. Oddly enough, this is the lowest general rank. Next comes the lieutenant general, and then the colonel general. They command divisions, districts, and even entire arms. The next rank is the army general. This is the highest general rank. Not everyone can reach him.
The penultimate step is the title of Marshal. This title is in almost all armies of the world, but to earn it in peacetime is very difficult. By the way, the legendary musketeer D'Artagnan once received the marshal’s rod, but he went to this all his life. Earlier there was the title of Generalissimo. He was received by Suvorov, Stalin, Kim Il Sung, Alfredo Stroessner and many others. Now it has been canceled in many armies of the world, and the hierarchy of military ranks is being completed - the Supreme Commander, he is the president of the country. It is noteworthy that the president may be a person who did not serve in the army at all, but it is up to him to decide the fate of his country.
