Despite the fact that the standard of living in the regions of Russia has increased compared to the last decade, the flow of people wishing to leave their city or village to Moscow is not decreasing. Moscow has the most universities, jobs, and entertainment. The chance to earn money, to promote a business here is also higher. What to do in order to leave for Moscow and find in it a worthy place to apply your talents and efforts?

The easiest option for leaving (and most likely moving) to Moscow is to enter the capital's university. Everything here is determined by the results of your school exam - the exam, as well as the results of additional entrance exams to the university, if any. The applicant only needs to send the exam results to those Moscow universities in which he would like to study, perhaps come to pass additional exams and wait for admission. If it takes place, you will have to come again - give your certificate to the university and solve all organizational issues (for example, with a place in the hostel). Unfortunately, despite the fact that universities are obliged to provide all nonresident students with places in a hostel, this does not always happen. Few people manage to “knock out” a place in the hostel through complaints to different instances, therefore the most profitable option is to search for a rented apartment for a couple with someone else, since not all students and their families can afford to rent an apartment on their own -second courses are usually still very difficult. Once you settle the housing problem, you can assume that you have left for Moscow for at least 5-6 years. If you still decide to find a side job, then, as a rule, in Moscow it is not difficult to find it, and in any field: from a waiter at McDonald's to a tutor for negligent schoolchildren.

Often, graduates of regional universities and quite experienced specialists leave for Moscow to find a more prestigious and monetary place of work. There is a certain risk in this, but it is justified: according to statistics, more than half of employers not only willingly take workers from the regions, but generally prefer them, since they consider them more ambitious and hardworking. In addition, regional careerists still ask for an average slightly lower salary than Muscovites. If you are one of these, then you should post a resume on job search sites and start looking for work in Moscow. It is also worth exploring the sites of Moscow companies that need specialists of your level and send a resume to these companies. In order not to extend the initial visit to Moscow, it is worth agreeing to conduct approximately 4-5 interviews within one week and come to Moscow for it. Most likely, you will be taken to one of these 4-5 firms.

The most pressing issue for a nonresident worker is housing. You can rent a one-room apartment on the outskirts of Moscow for about 22-25 thousand rubles a month. It’s worth looking for such apartments through agencies, and not through private owners: firstly, the risk of fraud is lower, and secondly, private owners often offer higher prices. For those who think it is expensive to rent an apartment, you can rent a room or, again, an apartment, but for two with someone you know. A room can cost 12-15 thousand rubles a month. If you are ready to take a mortgage loan for an apartment, then, as a rule, the monthly installment for such a loan for a one-room apartment starts from 45-50 thousand rubles. What will be the first installment depends on the bank in which you take such a loan. In the suburbs of Moscow, apartments are cheaper, but it’s longer to drive from there, in addition, not all Moscow regions are satisfied.

It is unlikely that it will be possible to come to Moscow and on the same day inspect several apartments with a realtor and immediately rent one of them. Hotels in Moscow are expensive. Therefore, if you do not have friends in Moscow who are ready to receive you, you can live in the hostel for several days. Hostels are very common in Europe; these are budget hotels with a minimum of amenities in the room or with shared facilities. A night in a hostel will cost from 500 rubles. You can find and book a hostel via the Internet.
