Unfortunately, there are often cases when the purchased product disappoints the buyer. According to the current legislation, it is possible to exchange and return not only defective product, but also goods of good quality, as well as goods that simply did not suit you for any subjective reasons.

Section 25 of the Consumer Protection Act provides a list of non-exchangeable goods. If the list does not contain the name of the purchased item, then feel free to write a claim for the return of goods in free form. There is no document in the legislation of the Russian Federation that would regulate the processing of a claim. On a blank sheet of paper, fill out a hat, indicate the name and initials of the head of the organization selling the product or service. This information, as well as the full name of the company, can be found on the information stand of the store or department where you made the purchase.

Enter your data in the genitive case below: full name, zip code and mailing address, preferably a contact phone number. You write all these data in the upper right corner of a blank sheet of paper. Then in the center of the sheet in capital letters write the name of the document: claim or statement. The point at the end is not set.

In the main part of the document state: when, where, for what amount purchased the goods. Be sure to indicate for what reason it did not suit you: in size, style, equipment, etc. If it is deficient or defective, describe it in detail. It will be more convincing if you refer to the law by specifying the article. Write your requirements, list the attached papers: a copy of the cash or sales receipt, testimony of witnesses. Put the number and signature. Make a statement in 2 copies. Leave one with the seller, and take the second with the appropriate mark with you.

If the seller refused to accept your application and fulfill the requirements, then send the document by registered mail with a notification to the address indicated on the sign at the entrance to the department or store of the seller.

You can return a non-food product of good quality within 14 days from the date of purchase if its consumer properties, packaging, labels, seals, preferably a sales receipt or cash register, are retained. The absence of the latter does not deprive the buyer of the opportunity to refer to the testimony of witnesses.
Useful advice
When returning the goods you must have with you an identity card (passport, military ID, etc.). If the seller does not have a similar product at the time of your appeal, then you have the right to terminate the contract of sale and write an application for a refund (paragraph 2 of Article 25).
