Biography
Evgenia Viktorovna Obraztsova was born in Leningrad on January 18, 1984. Her parents are ballet dancers. Mom Nelly took Zhenya to the theater from seven months. As she got older, Zhenya and her friends ran around the theater and watched the work of artists and costumers. Then Zhenya did not have a dream to become a ballerina. But was the first funny debut. With a girlfriend, they took bundles of mothers, tried to pull them on themselves, but the costumes fell off them. They decided to put on tutus on their heads and walked in the light of the spotlights that illuminated the stage. All this was during the performance. On stage, the audience saw strange moving shadows, like haystacks. Zhenya's mother had to resolve this misunderstanding and explain the pranks of the children of the theater administration. All Zhenya’s childhood was spent at the St. Petersburg Opera and Ballet Theater. M.P. Mussorgsky, now the Mikhailovsky Theater.
Hard and incomprehensible time in a ballet school
After the usual 3-year primary education, I had to decide whether to enter a ballet school or not. Parents urged Zhenya to the ballet. She entered the Academy of Russian Ballet. Vaganova.
She graduated from first grade with the lowest grade. Nobody liked it. Eugene seemed not to show any hope and did not want to practice ballet. She was tormented by a lack of understanding of what she was doing and why. Once, mom and dad started a conversation that she had to be taken from the ballet school, that nothing would come of it. The girl heard this, and then her pride and pride leaped up. She decided to prove to herself and her parents that she was not a "weakling."
She was given for education to the teacher Tugunov Nikolai Ivanovich. And the teacher’s tough approach helped Zhenya to achieve excellent results. She received the highest mark for second grade and tasted good luck and success. I felt that it was better to be a leader than an outsider. From that moment, she was hardly dragged from the machine. She was exhausted.
Juliet and Ondine
After the ballet academy, an invitation to the Mariinsky Theater followed. In the ballet world they started talking about her seriously in 2002, when Eugene showed herself in the role of Juliet in the play of Leonid Lavrovsky “Romeo and Juliet”. The audience received her with enthusiasm, critics unanimously reiterated that they had not seen the more sincere and touching Juliet for a long time.
Her further work at the Mariinsky Theater pleased the audience not only in Russia, but also abroad. She toured with the theater in Italy and America.
In 2006, Pierre Lacotte decided to stage the ballet “Ondine” and entrusted the main party to Evgenia Obraztsova. He said that when he met the ballerina, he saw "as if light, there is something exceptional in it, it is beautiful, her thoughts are beautiful and she is a real artist, capable of giving her heart to what she does
He was not mistaken. For the role of “Undina” Eugenia was given the Golden Mask award, and it was a well-deserved award, which was worth a lot of work. Preparation for the premiere was not easy for Eugenia. On the eve of the premiere, she fell ill with the flu and went to the last rehearsals with high fever.

Then there was Kitri's part in Don Quixote, a tour in Japan and a debut in London at the Covent Garden Theater with the image of Aurora in Sleeping Beauty.
Since 2010, Eugene combined two scenes: in St. Petersburg and in Moscow. Work at the Bolshoi Theater took place with S.Yu. Owl. It was good and comfortable working with him. In the Mariinsky during this period there was a certain stagnation. The routine - the same repertoire - made me think of some new step that had happened. She stepped to a higher step. In 2012, E. Obraztsova became the prima of the Bolshoi Theater.
Prima of the Bolshoi Theater
With obtaining the status of prima ballerina, responsibility has increased: you can’t make global mistakes, increase your requirements for yourself, you must always be in good shape. I have to deny myself a lot. Due to the fear of getting sick, Eugene does not drink anything cold, eats moderately and is engaged every morning according to the Knyazev system - "the machine on the floor."
The work of ballet dancers is not in vain called not work, but service. They officially have only one day off per week. The day begins at the ballet machine. Further rehearsals, which always take place at the cost of both physical and intellectual forces. With teachers, the artists not only hone the ballet technique, but also work on the characters of their heroes as dramatic actors. The ballet role must be played so that the viewer believes in the veracity of what is happening on the stage.
Many roles involve a partnership of heroes. Giselle had Albert. In May 2012, in the production of the play by J. Coralli, J. Perrault and M. Petipa, Nikolai Tsiskaridze became the partner of Eugenia-Giselle. In his opinion, it was convenient to dance with Eugenia, despite the difference in height. Everything turned out beautifully. He later said about Zhenya that she was “an attentive and thoughtful man

The sculpture that gave happiness
Eugenia's husband - Andrei Korobtsov - is a sculptor. He became a husband in 2014, and it all started with the posing of Eugenia for the sculpture "Meetings and Partings." The composition was created for the Paveletsky station square. Andrei did not know who Zhenya Obraztsova was and he had vague ideas about ballet. Later, he saw her on stage and realized that this was not just a girl, but a gorgeous ballerina girl. He wanted the sculpture to be beautiful, worried whether Evgenia would like it.
During the work on the sculpture, Andrei realized that he was ready to make a marriage proposal. Realized his idea on the day of the play "Eugene Onegin." After closing the curtain, he came into the dressing room and fell to his knee with his outstretched hand with a ring in a box. After a while, both recall Zhenya’s reaction, as she tried to close the box and repelled Andrei’s hand. Evgenia herself explains her impulses with an explosion of emotions from the performance and from the fact that her hands were shaking from excitement. She was afraid that if she took the ring, it would slip out and roll away. But the ring okay and tightly shows off on Eugenia’s finger until now.

Double charm
In 2016, two charm appeared at once in the life of a young couple - two daughters Sofia and Anastasia. For mom-ballerina, this is a feat, because there is a certain “ban”. And the stories of many famous ballerinas show that devotional service to ballet deprived their family and the happiness of motherhood. Evgenia Obraztsova has a different opinion - she decided for herself that she would not give up motherhood, no matter what it cost her. Nothing can replace family happiness: no ballet, no other art.
