A non-resident, like a resident, is a legal term that defines the position of a person who resides or cooperates with a country even outside his permanent residence.
If the word "resident" is translated from Latin as "sitting", sitting in a certain place, respectively, the word "non-resident" can be translated as "not sitting" - not located at a given time in a particular place.
The concept of "resident"
Resident - a person permanently residing in any country. A resident can be a person who is not a citizen of a given country, but has been living in it for a long time. As a rule, each country legislatively determines the number of days during which a person can be considered a resident. So, for example, in Russia at present, a person living more than 183 days a year can be considered a resident of Russia, not being her citizen.
Residents can also be legal entities - organizations registered in this country, to which national legislation applies.
