The airborne assault is an elite branch of the armed forces in the Russian army. Units of paratrooper soldiers are called upon to fulfill responsible missions during military operations conducted behind enemy lines. Service in the "winged guard" has always attracted recruits, although it is associated with difficulties. Those who served in the Airborne Forces can cope with any tasks in civilian life.

Airborne - the elite of the army
Airborne units are highly mobile, and therefore belong to the rapid reaction forces. In a real war, paratroopers will have to complete missions to capture enemy troops after landing from the air. They must conduct military operations and conduct sabotage operations in an autonomous mode, in isolation from the main army units.
The paratroopers are required high combat training, coherence and the ability to act quickly in extreme situations, relying solely on their strength.
Future draftees do not always have the opportunity to independently choose a place of service and military branch. And yet, even in modern conditions, when the prestige of military service is significantly lower than in Soviet times, young people tend to get into the service in the Airborne Forces. Interest in these elite troops is associated with the positive image of the paratrooper, created in the domestic mass culture and in public consciousness.
The desire to join the glorious fighting traditions of the airborne troops is understandable. Everyone who has gone through the rigorous school of the Airborne Forces knows that it is an honor and responsibility to wear a paratrooper uniform. Service in the airborne units is not only romance, but also hard work. But the difficulties harden, shape the character and make of yesterday’s schoolchildren real men who are ready, if necessary, to stand up not only for themselves, but also for other people.
