Perhaps the most famous of the works of art presented in the Louvre are the masterpieces of antique sculpture of the Hellenistic era, Venus Milos and Nika of Samothrace and, of course, Leonardo's “Mona Lisa” da vinci. We must not forget that the building of the Louvre itself, which for many centuries served as the palace of the French kings, is the largest monument of world culture. The glass pyramid, built in the 80s of the 20th century and is the main entrance to the museum, is also famous.
