Chad Robert Kruger is a famous Canadian musician, vocalist and guitarist of the legendary rock band Nickelback. He also authored soundtracks for feature and animated films.
Biography
The future musician was born in November 1974 on the fifteenth in the Canadian province of Alberta. At school, Chad studied poorly and was known as a real bully. He did not think about the future, and most likely, everything would end with problems with the law, if not for music. In the middle classes, he seriously became interested in hard rock and began to independently master the guitar. The first experience of performing with Chad appeared at school, even then he dreamed of becoming a rock star. After completing secondary education, he firmly decided to connect his life with heavy music.
Career
When the budding rocker was nineteen years old, he suggested that his older brother Mike create his own rock band. Place behind the drum set took their cousin Brandon. Another guitar was their mutual friend Ryan Peak. Before the group gained a world-famous name, there were a lot of other ideas. The first option referred to the newly minted team as POINT OF VIEW. Laconic Brick and the rather ironic Village idiots were later considered.
Time passed, but not one of the voiced names took root. The decision came unexpectedly from the everyday life of the guys. Senior Kruger at that time worked in a local eatery, where they poured coffee, which cost forty-five cents. Traditionally, they paid for it with a half-dollar coin, the change for this calculation is five cents. In youth slang, this remainder was referred to as nickel, and nickelback literally meant "take your change." This version of the name was liked by all members of the collective, and as a result, the world recognized the Canadian group under it.
For some time, the group played other people's songs, but the guys understood: for real recognition you need your own material. To record their debut album, the brothers turned to parents for help, who in fact became their first investors. The album was released in 1996 and was warmly received by the public.
In the early 2000s, the group recorded another album and set off to conquer America. Success came after recording the title melody for the movie Spider-Man. A regular hit on the charts on the radio and an invitation to various television programs instantly lifted young musicians to heaven.
To date, the group is still popular and continues to record new albums. In total, the Canadian musicians have ten records, the last of which was released in 2017.
