It’s wonderful in selfless help that you can help both one person and the whole organization by investing your energy or money, giving unnecessary things to charity and devoting as many useful hours to this useful work as you want. Selfless help is also called altruism or volunteering.
Help by business
Helping selflessly is easy if in this activity you find what you like, that hurts the soul and gives inner satisfaction. To begin with, decide what is most acceptable for you: work with children, animals, the elderly - these are the categories that most need help. You can choose several people, for example, lonely old people who need help with housework, buying groceries, cleaning an apartment, and just plain communication. You can take care of the elderly in hospitals, nursing homes, hospices.
And you can help a particular orphanage or animal shelter - clean up the territory, play with children or walk pets. For children, you can bring old toys, arrange games or mini-performances, show a theater, especially if a team of young people has gathered in the assistants. For a shelter with animals, it is important to bring old things there, warm the room for the winter, walk the pets, clean the cages, buy medicine and food. All this costs not so much money, but if the shelter is not financed, animals can be on the verge of extermination.
An important part of disinterested help to other people can be blood donation, especially now, when even small money in public hospitals has stopped paying blood donors, and there is a catastrophic lack of blood.
Volunteering can be combined with travel. There are a huge number of international organizations that invite young people for a period of several weeks to a year to volunteer around the world. You can work with lions in Kenya, help sea turtles in New Zealand, look after children in a camp in Greece, and much more. The work of volunteers is not paid, but they are provided with housing, food and the opportunity to travel around their country of leisure in their free time. In addition, this is a great chance to learn a foreign language, make friends around the world and learn the culture of other countries.
