Starting conditions
Rhythmic gymnastics, like figure skating, is a beautiful sport. A significant part of the audience attends tournaments and championships to get aesthetic pleasure. And many connoisseurs of the beautiful do not even know what loads the athletes have to withstand, and what obstacles to overcome. Anna Vladimirovna Bessonova multiple world champion in rhythmic gymnastics. She herself chose this sport, focusing on examples that were given to her by close relatives.
The future champion and record holder was born on July 29, 1984 in a sports family. Parents at that time lived in the city of Kiev. Father, famous football player, player of the Dynamo team. Mother, world champion in rhythmic gymnastics in group exercises. The child grew and developed surrounded by care and attention. According to her physical data, Anya could become a professional ballerina. She was even taken to classes in a ballet school. However, she insisted that she wanted to do rhythmic gymnastics as a mother.
Professional career
At first, Anna began to train under the guidance of her mother. After a short period of time, a promising athlete was noticed by Albina Nikolaevna Deryugina, the famous rhythmic gymnastics trainer, and the founder of her own gymnastics training school. The training process at the Deryugina school has been put on a scientific and practical basis. Each pupil is provided with an individual approach. At the same time, special attention is paid to developing teamwork skills. Anna worked conscientiously in training, and soon her zeal paid off.
Bessonova’s sports career took shape along an upward trajectory. In 1999, at the first international competitions in Japan, a team from Ukraine took third place. In subsequent years, the so-called "sighting" took place. Anna gained skill and experience of performing in international competitions. In 2003, at the World Championships in Budapest, Bessonova took 1st place in the exercises with a club and a hoop, and 2nd place in exercises with a ball and ribbon. Since this year, Anna has taken the place of the leader of the Ukrainian team.
