Childhood and youth
Ada Nikolaevna Rogovtseva, a Soviet and Ukrainian actress who was born in the Sumy region, in the small town of Glukhov, on July 16, 1937. The girl’s mother, who received a higher agricultural education, worked as an agronomist. Father, a professional military man, served in the ranks of the state security. When Germany treacherously attacked the USSR, the Rogovtsev family ended up in Odessa. The head of the family, Nikolai Ivanovich Rogovtsev, the evacuation of loved ones failed and they all had to return to Ada’s hometown. From there, Rogovtsev had to go to Moscow, where he continued to serve in the personal guard of Khrushchev.
At the end of the war, the head of the family managed to obtain housing for relatives in Kiev. After some time, after the transfer of the head of the family to Poltava, they move to a new place of residence. Here Ada graduates from high school and since she was often busy with performances by the amateur school team, she decided to follow the path of improving theater skills.
Theatrical career
Possessing the talents of transforming into different characters, the girl decided to enter Kiev, at the Theater Institute. Karpenko-Kary. After enrolling, the young student was soon recognized as the best on the course. The teaching staff, noting her talent, helped to receive the Rogovtsev Stalin scholarship. Before graduation, the actress received an offer to work in the folk theater. Lesia Ukrainka, where in 1959 Ada opened her debut in the play "Youth of Paul Vikhrova."
At the age of 23, the young actress received the title of Honored Art Worker of the Ukrainian Slovak Republic. I would like to note that during the work in the folk theater, Ada played more than fifty roles. The artist was lucky to work with various directors, including Roman Vityuk. At the beginning of the 21st century, the leading actress met with this director again, and several successful joint works appeared in collaboration.
Ada Rogovtseva in the film industry also left a noticeable mark. The first noticeable and significant role was played in the film "Salute, Maria", which elevated the actress to the heights that are still unattainable.
Over her career, the actress managed to embody her vision of stories in more than a hundred feature films.
