He finally established himself in the profession of musician when he decided to finish the conservative course in Paris on the basis of Cinéma Français. Gerard hesitated for a long time what to choose - a career in cinema or musical creativity. The support of his father determined the future fate of the young man - he chose music.
Creation
The first composer created his first musical works during a trip to the American states in the 80s of the last century. Presgurvik was carried away by the styles that sounded on the American stage - soul, jazz, country, electro-pop. During these years, he collaborates with Patrick Bruel, who, in addition to acting, sang beautifully. They released their joint album in 1985. The disc was called "De face". His popularity was such that the circulation of records reached a million copies. The young musicians were encouraged by the success and soon followed by the release of the second joint album, where Patrick Bruel performed the compositions of Gerard Presgurvik.
The composer became famous in his homeland in France. The best French singers such as Lian Foley, Elsa, Florenne Pagni began to order songs to him. The great Mireille Mathieu with pleasure performs songs written by Presgurvik.
In the nineties, the composer began to actively collaborate with the world of cinema and wrote wonderful tracks for feature films by Claude Lelouch and Anye Ward.

In 2001, the composer proposed his first musical to the audience, which became a cult and became world famous. It was a musical performance of "Romeo and Juliet." Gerard Presgurvik wrote not only beautiful music, but also a libretto for his creation.
Success inspired the French composer, and in 2003 the September premiere of the next opus took place. The new theme is based on the main theme of the American bestseller Gone With the Wind, written by writer Margaret Mitchell.
