At one time, the famous Russian poet noted that poetry is not so difficult. Yes, indeed, creaking with a pen or knocking on the keyboard is not for you to hand over bags of groats. However, we must agree with the fact that the poetic gift and talent of the writer is given to few. Igor Volgin is one of those who are called a professional literary critic.

Far start
When the war began, the Volgin family was evacuated to the city of Molotov. Today, few people know that the city of Perm was so called in those years. The child was born in 1942. His father, a journalist by profession, worked in the editorial office of a local newspaper, and his mother was a corrector here. From a young age, the boy was in an environment where they talk about writers, works, Russian, history and spelling rules. We can say that Igor absorbed his love of literary work with his mother’s milk.
When the war was over, after the Victory, the Volga returned to their native Moscow. On the school bench, Igor began to rhyme words and put his feelings into poetic forms. In 1959 he received a certificate of maturity and entered the Moscow University at the Faculty of History. As a student, he wrote poetry and tried to publish them. It should be noted that in those years, the editors of newspapers and magazines drove crowds of graphomaniacs with their verses. The famous poet of the older generation Pavel Antakolsky drew attention to the creativity of the young man. And he recommended several works for publication in the Literary Newspaper. It was a serious claim for success.
Having received a fundamental education, Volgin goes headlong into scientific work and creativity. Studying the primary sources does not prevent him from writing poetry. As a historian, he shows interest in the origins of Russian literature, journalism, and 19th-century writers. Among the latter, the works of Fyodor Mikhailovich Dostoevsky made a strong impression on the young scientist. And, of course, the very personality of the writer.
