He played for Dynamo for six years as a defender, and then decided to try his luck at Israeli Hapoel. Having stayed there for one season, which was not very successful for him, Vladimir returned to his native land. In “Dynamo” he was willingly taken again and he spent in the team two more seasons.

Coaching
Vladimir Zhuravel made his debut as a trainer in his last game team - Zhodzina Torpedo. Here he worked for four seasons. Then he worked with Shakhtar (Salihorsk), Dynamo (Minsk), Gomel and Dynamo Brest, and quite successfully.
Minsk “Dynamo” during his coaching won an unexpected victory for many in the Europa League over the team “Fiorentina” (the Italian club, which became the double winner of the national championship). Won the silver championship of the country. However, the club management still terminated the contract with Vladimir Ivanovich, considering the achievements of the team not too impressive.

Gomel football players thanks to the coach were able to discover the Premier League. Before that, they played only in the second division. And the Brest “Dynamo” rose to four positions in the ranking - from eighth to fourth place.
Once again, having left the country, Zhuravel chose Kazakhstan for work. The last team he worked with was Shakhtar from Karaganda.
In a sports party, they often called Vladimir Ivanovich a "soft" coach. However, those who knew him personally, who worked with him or under his leadership, disagree. First of all, they note that Zhuravel always adhered to the principle: the player must understand what and why he is doing.
Zhuravel was a strong analyst and psychologist. Any trifle in work did not remain without his attention. With all the players, even those whose character was not simple, Zhuravel could find common ground. I always carefully weighed every word, I experienced a lot inside, without telling anyone.
Friends always remember his sense of humor, which helped to “resolve” controversial situations and smooth out conflicts, uplifted and made him move on.
Awards
Acting as a football player, Zhuravel came six times to the champion title in the championship of Belarus, once took second place. In 1992 and 1994 became the owner of the Belarus Cup. Speaking for the Israeli team, reached the finals.
Being a coach five times with the wards, he became the silver medalist of the championship of Belarus. Among his trophies is the Belarus Cup and first place in the First League of the country.
