In any country, the path to the acting profession is not easy at all - not just the masters of the film industry can consider the talents of a theater or film artist in green youth and give their blessings. The path of the Russian actor Vitaly Kovalenko to his profession was also not easy.

It is now that Vitaly lives in St. Petersburg, plays in the theater there, and goes to Moscow to shoot films and has the title of Honored Artist of the Russian Federation. And it all began very simply, like many young men who dream of becoming artists.
Biography
Vitaly Kovalenko was born in 1974 in the city of Pavlodar, in the north of Kazakhstan. There was no one in his family who was at least actively interested in theater. And when Vitaliy started to study in drama club at school, his parents thought that this youthful hobby would pass, and his son would choose the “male” profession.
However, Vitaly’s interest in the theater grew every year, and by the age of sixteen he knew exactly what he would enter the theater. Already at that time, two obstacles stood in the way of the dream: the opinion of the parents and the opinion of the theater teacher, oddly enough. Adults believed that for a man, the profession of an actor is not entirely suitable: it does not carry either stability or any certainty.
Vitaly himself doubted, and yet after leaving school he went to enter the theater institute in St. Petersburg. This attempt was unsuccessful, failed to arrive in Moscow, and then Vitaly went to the northern capital of the Urals - Yekaterinburg.
This was already the fifth barrier to the profession of an actor, and Vitaly did not tread. However, he did not leave the city, but found a job and just started going to performances, learning mastery on his own. The future actor changed several professions until the deadline for the next entrance exams approached. He finally passed them successfully.
And already in the third year I realized that it was not in vain that he overcame obstacles and did not pass all the trials in vain: he began to play in the performances of the Yekaterinburg Drama Theater and the Masks Theater. After receiving his education, Kovalenko served in the Novosibirsk Theater, and then a representative of the Alexandrinsky Theater of St. Petersburg invited him to move to St. Petersburg.

It was another difficult choice, but Vitaly decided on it, and did not regret it.
Movie career
Since 2001, Vitaliy tried his hand on the set - it was the series "NLS Agency". And the first major role came to him with the project "Adjutants of Love" and the role of Napoleon Bonaparte. It was a difficult experience, but very necessary and professionally useful. What is interesting - he played the role of Bonaparte three times in different films.
Subsequently, Kovalenko played many different roles in feature films and even more in the series. The most significant were the roles in the film "Matilda" (1917 - the role of Grand Duke Vladimir Alexandrovich), as well as the project "Gogol. The Beginning" (2019 - the role of investigator Kovleisky).
