Victor Gusev - Russian poet, translator, screenwriter and playwright. For the scripts for the films "Pig and Shepherd" and "At six o'clock in the evening after the war" he was awarded three Stalin Prizes. He was awarded the Order of the Badge of Honor.

Victor Mikhailovich Gusev was born in Moscow in 1909. A well-known domestic sports commentator and journalist is his own grandson. Gusev was still involved in drama and translations.
On the road to vocation
In 1925, the future poet became a member of the drama studio at the capital's theater of revolution. After studying there for a year, Victor went to the higher literary courses of Bryusov. After training, another year passed, and the first publication of poetry appeared.
Gusev joined the society of dramatic writers of the capital. A couple of years later, his first poetry book was published. The young author spent three years in the courses, then moving to the faculty of art and literature of Moscow State University.
An active and sociable poet quickly made new friends. He developed and promoted his writing talents. He began creating scripts for feature films, wrote ditties, lyrics for songs, reprisals, and articles. From the late twenties, comedies created by Gusev began to come out.
Viktor Mikhailovich perfectly felt time, needs, therefore always his work was distinguished by freshness and demand. He became one of the most popular songwriters, screenwriters and playwrights. Wide popularity came in 1934 after the creation of the song "Polyushko-pole". After a successful debut, all work was successful. In 1935 the play "Glory" was written.
It is staged in all theaters. There were many worthy works after it. The main role of the author was scripts and direction. In 1941, Gusev took over as head of the literary department of the radio committee. He began writing reports and scripts for radio broadcasts.
In 1939, the poet received the Order of the Badge of Honor. In 1942 he was awarded the Stalin Prize for the script of the famous painting "Pig and Shepherd." The film tells the story of the Soviet girl Glasha Novikova.
She lives in a Russian village. However, the drummer fell in love not with the potential groom and active boyfriend Kuzma, “the first in the village, ” but with the shepherd from distant Dagestan Musaib Gatuyev. He met a pig in the capital. At the wedding, the whole village was having fun. The film has become a real joyful tale. Viktor Mikhailovich received the same award for writing the script in the film "At six o'clock in the evening after the war" in 1946.
Family and creativity
And before the war, and during it, Gusev remained the sole author of the scripts, whose heroes spoke in verse. His films were very much in demand. So, on the day of the opening of the Second Front, on June 6, 1944, the world premiere of "Pig and Shepherd" under the name "They met in Moscow" took place. Even more interesting was the fate of "Six in the evening." In 1943, the author managed to predict the victory of 1945 and even guessed about the salute over the Kremlin.
The poet’s wife was Nina Stepanova, a teacher. In 1934, at the end of May, the family replenished with a child. The boy was called Michael. Soon he had a sister Elena. During the war, the husband and son and daughter were evacuated to Tashkent. They returned already the field of Gusev's departure from life.
Nina Petrovna over time has adjusted her personal life again. She became the wife of the famous writer Konstantin Finn. Mikhail Viktorovich became a student of the Faculty of Biology and Soil, Moscow State University. He grew up in a world-famous biologist. He became dean, professor at his own university.
He married Galina Boldyreva. In 1955 they had a son, Victor. In the family there was a tradition of alternating the names of Michael and Victor. Therefore, the grandson became the full namesake of the famous grandfather. Victor Gusev, who became a popular sports commentator, gave his son the name Mikhail.
In the works, the poet showed himself to be a real patriot. He glorified the country. He was enthralled by technological progress. Its scale was especially striking among pilots and polar explorers. Once the playwright was told the story that the pilot had to raise the helicopter to an unprecedented height in order to save the sick girl from a mountain village.
The author was so impressed with this story that the very next day his poetic composition appeared. A poetic story was published in the newspaper.
