Childhood and youth
Tabitha King was born into a large Spruce family in the spring of 1949, in a small town in the American outback Milford. Tabitha had seven brothers and sisters. His father, Raymond George Spruce, is a prominent Democrat in Maine, a former soldier, a member of the city council, and a lifelong member of the Knights of Columbus community. He lived to be ninety years old, 63 of whom were married to his only beloved wife, Sarah, and died only in 2014.
All her life, Tabitha, like her brothers and sisters, was attached to his father, and it was he who invested in his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, the desire for knowledge, high moral qualities, the thirst to help others and respect for the family.
Tabitha graduated from college in her hometown and began working in the public library, which was then visited by the young Stephen King, a student at the University of Maine. The girl wrote short stories and poems that Stephen, an informal and rock music lover, extremely liked.
Their acquaintance, which began in the late sixties, was marked by a wedding in 1971, with the first child of the famous spouses, the daughter of Naomi, was born a year before this event, in the summer of 1970. Since that time, Tabitha's biography and her personal life are inseparable from the cult name of Stephen King.

Creation
Tabitha Jane King made her debut as a writer in 1981, releasing her first novel, Little World. Her works are filled with realism of life and, although there are many fantastic elements in them, the influence of the eminent husband is not traced at all. Rather, it is sometimes based on the ideas of his wife, creating a new masterpiece.
Tabitha King relies in her books on classical literary traditions, critics and readers respond very positively to her works. The woman starred in two films where she played herself: in the episodic role of the 1981 action movie "Knights Riders" and in the documentary "Biography" - the Television Networks project on the life of historical figures. And in 2004, according to a script written by her in collaboration with her husband and Lars von Trier, the mystical series Royal Hospital was released.
Of course, a wide readership often perceives Tabitha no more than the shadow of the “King”. But this woman does not live "in the shade", content with the gleams of her husband's glory. She is actively engaged in her own creativity, creating a completely distinctive, original style of prose, and is an activist in an extensive list of public and charitable organizations.
Born in 1972 and 1977, the sons of the King Joe and Owen followed in the footsteps of their parents. They write their own books, which are very well received by critics and readers. By the way, some of King’s novels we would never have seen if not for Tabitha. For example, it was she who found the discarded draft "Carrie" and insisted that her husband finish the book.

King’s life had a lot - losses, scandals, financial collapse and accusations, difficulties with children, Stephen’s drug addiction and alcoholism, serious health problems after the notorious accident in which King almost lost his ability to walk. But they were able to overcome all this together, and Stephen King endlessly admires his wife, worshiping her for her long, happy and successful life, which could only take place thanks to Tabitha.
