A poet is a word that sounds beautiful and proud. Often in adolescence, boys and girls try themselves in this area - feelings tear out, I want to speak, to throw out a storm of emotions. A poem is the best form for expressing one’s state of mind. However, many underestimate themselves, believing that they will not be able to write, they do not have a sense of rhythm and so on. In fact, the main thing for a poet is to be able to feel. And there are words.
A poet lives in every person. And the main thing that needs to be done is to open it in yourself. Do not be afraid to write poetry - rhyme is lame, banal phrases, it would seem, worn out topics. It is not so important. The important thing is to try.
Many critics say that it is necessary to equal famous, great poets - Pushkin, Byron, Goethe … and others, and others. But is it that important? Why copy someone’s style, someone’s thoughts? And if we start to look like famous people, we will inevitably begin to copy them.
Develop your own, unique, style of writing poems: your rhythm, your size. Only after trying different options, you can understand what really suits you. The same with topics: do not be afraid to write on commonplace, as it is believed, topics. There are no commonplace topics. Love, life, death, happiness - these are eternal topics. They are clear to everyone and everyone. They wrote about love, they are writing and will continue to write. And if the closest topic for you today is love, write about love. Express your feelings exactly as you would like.
Do not be afraid of criticism. Even if someone doesn’t like the poem you wrote, this is just his opinion. First of all, write for yourself. Enjoy the process and the result. If one did not work out, the other can attract hundreds of thousands.
So, to summarize:
- Write for yourself, express your feelings and thoughts;
- Write on any topic;
- Create your own unique style, experiment;
- Use criticism for your own purposes; it should not suppress your creativity;
- Enjoy the process of creation.
A poet lives in each of us. Awaken it in yourself.
