Leadership and incredible charisma helped Sergei Aksenov make a fast career from a deputy of the local parliament to the head of the Republic of Crimea. All this became possible after the peninsula became part of Russia.
The beginning of the way
Sergey Aksenov is from the Moldavian city of Balti. He was born in 1972 in a family of workers at a local factory. The boy studied well and graduated from high school with a silver medal. He was distinguished by an active public position and a love of sport. In 1989, the graduate entered the Simferopol Higher Military-Political Construction School.
Businessman
With the collapse of the USSR, many young people went into business. Aksenov was no exception. He worked as an insurance agent, then worked in senior positions in cooperatives that sold food and industrial goods. During this period of his biography, a young businessman acquired useful contacts at the prosecutor's office and the State Property Fund. The entrepreneur managed to privatize several Crimean enterprises and shops in Simferopol, Yalta, Alushta. His next acquisition was residential property, which was leased and a company providing visa services. Practical work required a certain theoretical base, so Sergey was educated in the specialty "Enterprise Economics", and then became a master in finance.
Politician
In the second half of the 2000s, a businessman decided to try his hand at politics. He conducted active work as part of the organizations "Russian Community of Crimea" and "Civil Asset of Crimea". In 2010, an experienced politician led the movement "Russian Unity", from this party he won the elections to the Crimean parliament. The people's choice was considered the priority areas of his work to be the support of the domestic producer, differentiation in the taxation system and concern for the poor. The activities of the deputy created the basis for the career of a politician.
"Crimean spring"
At the time of the Crimean referendum on the entry of the peninsula into the Russian Federation, the leadership qualities of Aksenov were especially pronounced. The country's leadership saw in him a strong man who could unite the multinational Crimea and take responsibility for its development in the new legal field. For four years, Sergey Valerievich has been the head of the Council of Ministers of Crimea. During this time, the head of the republic showed himself as a competent, self-confident leader. Colleagues speak of him as a smart, energetic person, capable of developing. He considers the peninsula his home and devotes a lot of energy to rebuilding the national economy of the republic. Over the past two years, the fight against corruption and road construction have become important accents in his work. Especially popular on the website of the republican government is the online form in which each resident of the peninsula can contact its chairman. Openness and speed in decision making helped Aksenov gain credibility and recognition of Crimeans.
