Childhood and family
Elena Sanaeva was born in 1942 in Samara. Her father was the famous Soviet actor Vsevolod Sanaev, and her mother Lidia Antonovna was engaged in housekeeping.
The complex nature of Lidia Antonovna was described by the son of Elena Pavel Sanaev in his book “Bury Me Behind the Baseboard”. Elena says that what is described in this story is only partly true. The mother really had a difficult character, but she devoted her whole life to her husband, daughter and grandson, and without her participation it would be difficult for the family.
Education
Elena watched the work of her famous father from childhood. She liked the theater and cinema, and in her early youth she decided to become an actress. After school, Elena entered GITIS, where Mikhail Tsarev was her acting teacher and course master.
Career
After graduation, Elena Sanaeva played in several theaters. But cinema brought her fame. Elena created diverse roles in many films, but woke up famous after the release of the film "The Adventures of Pinocchio." Her Fox Alice is still considered by film critics as her best work.
