Rim Akhmedov is a writer, literary translator and connoisseur of the flora of his native Bashkiria. His books are saturated with love of nature, in them he shared the ancient secrets of herbal medicine. Critics called Akhmedov a singer of Bashkir nature.
Biography: early years
Rim Bilalovich Akhmedov was born on October 29, 1933 in Ufa. His parents dedicated their lives to pedagogy. Another son and daughter grew up in the family.
Already in early childhood, Rome fell in love with the nature of his native Bashkiria thanks to his parents, who often arranged family trips. At school, he spent a lot of time reading, preferring classical literature. Then Rome first tried to write poetry.
Akhmedov's works began to be published in periodicals when he was 18 years old. So, his poems were often published in "Rural Life" and "Soviet Bashkiria." It was also published in collections.
In 1953, Rome moved to the capital, where he became a student at the Institute of Literature. Having received a diploma, Akhmedov remained in Moscow. He got a screenwriter on television. So, in 1960, according to the scenario of Rome, the serial film “On the map does not appear” was put on.
Three years later, he returned to his small homeland and got a job in the broadcasting company of Bashkiria. Soon, according to his scripts, the pictures “Native Melodies” and “We Draw” were released.
Books
In 1974, the collection "Flowers from under the Snow" was published with stories about the exploits of fellow countrymen during the war. A year later, "The Missing River" was published, telling young readers about the builders of hydroelectric power stations.
In the 70s, Rome became interested in studying the nature of Bashkiria, in particular its plant world. He has published several books on this subject. In them, Akhmedov sang odes to the Bashkir beauties, many places of their native land, which are covered with legends. Even then, he was well known in Bashkiria as a connoisseur of local nature. Later, the book “Grass-Day” was published, which glorified Rome far beyond the borders of its native land. It collected unique recipes for herbal medicine and real stories of healing people.
In parallel, Akhmedov translated the works of Bashkir writers into Russian. So, he worked on the books of such famous fellow countrymen as Gilemdar Ramazanov, Khadia Davletshina, Galimjan Ibragimov. The latter entrusted the translation of his legendary three-volume historical novel "Kinzya" only to Akhmedov. Ibragimov told the Writers' Union that the work requires an experienced translator. And he considered only Akhmedov as such.
Rome is an Honored Worker of Culture of Bashkiria, it is noted with regional awards, in particular, "For Merits to Ufa". His books have been awarded several literary prizes.
