A family
His father was a famous composer. And he achieved a lot in his life with his talent. But he categorically did not want his son to continue the work of his father. Johann Sr. did not tolerate rivalry and wanted his son to become an economist. Johann Jr. had to submit to the will of his father, but thoughts about music could not leave him.
Johann Strauss was born at the beginning of the 19th century (October 25, 1825) in Vienna. From the age of six he was fascinated by the sounds of waltzes. Knowing that his father did not allow him to take the violin in his hands, he secretly went to a music school. Studying in those days was on a paid basis. And Johann had to give piano lessons for money. His mother supported him in everything. At the age of 19 he was able to assemble a chapel, where he was a conductor. But when my father found out about this, life changed dramatically. Angry senior, angry at this event, filed for divorce from his wife and left the family, leaving no means of subsistence.
The younger Johann had to work in a cafe and casino. But the love of music gave strength.
Career and creativity
The composer was sensitive to dance music and was able to make it very popular. In the days of the revolution, he became famous thanks to his marches and the famous Marseillaise. But the envy of his father interfered with the young composer. And only after the death of Johann Sr. in 1848, he headed his orchestra. And he became a conductor. Three years later, the orchestra was presented to the court of Emperor Franz Joseph l.
In Russia, his talent was also appreciated. For five years he performed at Pavlovsky Station. And always the audience was delighted.
At the end of the sixties, Johann creates his most famous waltzes in which the spirit of Vienna is felt. Such wonderful works as "Tales of the Vienna Woods", "Blue Danube" gave him unheard of success.
