Society is a historically developing set of people connected among themselves by various relationships. The process of development of society cannot be stopped in time.
Society is not just made up of people, but individuals. Each of them pursues its own interests, has its own opinion and seeks to solve the problems that arise before it in the ways that are most convenient for it. The interests of people or their groups constantly clash. Conflicts arise that are resolved through mutual agreements and concessions. This is called consensus. People, deliberating and communicating with each other, decide how to be and what to do. In historical terms, this leads to the fact that society acquires a single vector of movement, which it follows, possibly without realizing it. This vector changes if a particular group of individuals believes that the general direction is erroneous. Sometimes in society such personalities appear that are capable of leading people with the help of their charisma, knowledge, and skills. The role of an individual in the development of society is a controversial moment in sociology. But the names of the great ancient philosophers, such as Aristotle and Plato, or military leaders, such as Napoleon and Alexander the Great, cannot be forgotten. These people personified those eras to which they belonged. A man at the level of instincts seeks to change the environment around him, making it more convenient and suitable for life. In the early stages of development, society simply sought to survive by earning food for itself and making the first tools. Today, humanity cannot imagine itself without computer technology and various methods of transmitting data at a distance that are constantly being improved for the greatest convenience. The objects surrounding a person determine his personality and vector of thinking, therefore, he does not just use objects already made before him, he seeks to make them even better or to come up with and make new ones. The development of society will never stop until each person develops on his own, allows other people to do this, and seeks to change his life.
