Biography
Sergey Chelobanov was born in 1961 in the town of Balakovo near Saratov. Music in the family was carried away only by the mother of the future singer, who introduced him to creativity, and also recorded in a music school. And yet, Sergey grew up a real tomboy, not missing a single fight at school. They decided to give the boy to boxing, which helped to cope with his heavy and quick-tempered character.
In high school, Sergey Chelobanov was already seriously fond of rock and roll and often performed on stage. But once a violent disposition prevailed over a guy, and he first broke the law by hijacking a neighbor's motorcycle and getting a suspended sentence for it. The young man had to go to work at the factory, but this did not stop him from playing rock at amateur concerts. At 22, he joined the army, and when he returned, he became addicted to drugs. On the basis of this, another theft took place, and now Chelobanov was in prison for three years.
After some time, the cassette with the recordings of the songs of the rock band Chelobanov's "N-Band" ended up with the singer and composer Arkady Ukupnik. He showed her to Alla Pugacheva. The prima donna was delighted with the work of the singer and, having met with him, offered to work in the Pugacheva Theater. Thus began the concert activity of Sergei Chelobanov, and in 1990 a popular group recorded the album "The Uninvited Guest".
In the 90s, the singer recorded several more albums and often performed with concerts. Together with him, famous performers, including Philip Kirkorov, performed on the stage more than once. However, by the beginning of the new decade, Chelobanov’s popularity had almost faded. Currently, he remains a non-public person and only a few times appeared on television as a guest in various talk shows, telling about his fate.
